An award-winning foreign correspondent for over 25 years, David Pratt has reported from conflicts and humanitarian crises across the world, including Afghanistan, Bosnia Herzegovina, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria and various locations across sub-Saharan Africa. During this time, David has amassed a substantial archive of photographs and written reports. He has generously allowed SGF access to this archive so that it can be collated and displayed on our website.
David's words and images exemplify the finest elements of what frontline reporting is meant to do. They provide a vivid record of locations, activities and impacts. They also illuminate the human experience, capturing moments of confusion, misery, triumph and hope as people react to what is happening around them.
David's particular interest in the Arab and Islamic world is reflected in the composition of his archive. Much of the work we will be showcasing derives from the considerable time he has spent working across the Middle East, in a variety of settings.
David's work deserves a public platform. It is a privilege for SGF to be able to provide it. We will release further selected excerpts from the archive on our website as time goes on. Please keep visiting the site and feel free to give us your feedback. For further information, email us at: firstname.lastname@example.org
